Early Season Goose Hunting:
-Find the "X"
-Smaller decoy spreads set in family groups
-Hunt the weekends when more hunters are out to keep birds flying
-Find pockets of small birds for quick hunts and to limit educating resident birds
-Listen to the birds, less calling typically needed
-Odds and Ends
-Concealment, brush blinds adequately
-Make sure decoys are clean and free of mud
-Use terrain and shadows to your advantage
-Be flexible and make adjustments if needed
-Don't forget your goose flag for added motion
-Look at your setup from a distance before settling in
